Homework for Next Time
Ok, gang, that would be the edit exercise. Anyone who was not in class or not in class at the time (cough, Cary) should email me if they didn't receive script pages. The idea, again, is to take whatever you've been given and reduce it by half. You can:
(1) Trim dialogue
(2) Eliminate action lines
(3) Compress descriptions
(4) Etc.
But you can't change the flow of the piece - the idea is to make it tighter and better while still preserving its integrity.
Submission guidelines:
(1) Your name on every page (should be obvious)
(2) The original pages with your handwritten notes
(3) The new pages, typewritten (don't worry about emulating true script format for now)
That is all - we will also go through some syntax next week.
